Price and contract
How is the price worked out?
You pay a yearly subscription. The fee depends on how many farms you run and their capacity (sow, weaner and finisher places, boars and gilts). For sow management and wean-to-finish management, you can choose between different packages. Cloudfarms AI, integrations and API access are available on top. Product Offer →
How long do we sign up for?
The subscription period is twelve months, but longer terms can be negotiated.
Can we add farms, or scale down later?
You can add farms, places or modules at any time. Scaling down or dropping a module takes effect at renewal, if you tell us a month before.
Can the price change during the contract?
No. Your fees are fixed for the contract year. A price change applies from the next renewal, and we tell you in writing at least 60 days before.
Can we see how it works?
In an online demo we show you Cloudfarms on a demo farm, around the questions you bring. For large operations, a pilot on one of your own farms can be agreed case by case. Request a Demo →
Making the switch
How long does the transition take?
That depends on how many farms you run and how you want them to go live: all at once, in waves or farm by farm. We plan the move with you before it starts, so every farm knows its date before anything changes. Rollout & Support →
What happens to our herd history?
It comes with you: sow cards, batches, locations and users, usually covering the last five years. Our data managers convert it, and it is validated after import, so your first reports are accurate. Data Migration →
Which systems can you move us from?
From most established herd management systems, and in some cases from template spreadsheets. For 30+ systems we have a standard routine, and the conversion takes a few days. Data Migration →
How much of our people’s time does it take?
We train one or more super users from your company: people who know your farms well, plan the move with us and then answer your users’ everyday questions. Each team is trained for its own job.
In the barn and the office
What do our people need to use it?
In the barn, a phone or tablet with the Cloudfarms app for iOS or Android. In the office, a web browser. There are no servers or software to install, and updates arrive automatically.
What if the barn has no internet?
The app keeps working. Registrations are saved on the phone or tablet and sent as soon as it is back online. Reports and planning in the office run in the browser and need a connection.
Which languages does Cloudfarms work in?
25+ languages. Each person works in their own language, so the barn team and the office can each use the one they know best.
Does it connect to our feeding system, genetics company and packer?
Cloudfarms has 45+ ready-made integrations with genetics companies, feeding systems, packers and national registries. For everything else there is an API. Integrations & APIs →
Can our contract farms work in it?
Yes. They work in the same system as your own farms, with strict data separation. Each grower sees only their own farm, and you see their figures separately or in your master reports. Holding Administration →
Your data
Who owns our data, and can we take it with us?
Your data is yours. You can export all of it whenever you want, and for a period after your contract ends. Security & Trust →
Can anyone else see our data?
Only the people you give access to, each for the farms their job needs. Benchmarks across producers use figures blended from at least three farms, so nothing points back to you. Sharing your own figures with a partner is your choice.
How do we know the data from the barn is right?
The app checks each registration against that animal’s own history as it is entered, and says on the spot when something doesn’t fit. Every entry is saved with the person who made it and the time, so a mistake can be found and corrected.
Help and people
Who helps us when something isn’t clear?
Your own super users answer the everyday questions on your farms. Behind them is the Cloudfarms support team, by chat, phone, email or remote session, every working day in your region’s office hours. Large operations also get a named contact. Rollout & Support →
Is there someone from Cloudfarms in our country?
Cloudfarms has teams in the Americas, Europe and Asia, and works with local partners in further countries. See who you would be working with in your region. Country Presence →
