JBS Live Pork
United States

90 sow farms, compared in real time

JBS Live Pork, part of JBS USA, is one of the largest pork producers in North America, with 240,000 sows. Its 90 US sow farms run on Cloudfarms. Servings, moves and animal health are recorded in the barn, the data reaches the office instantly, and management compares live production reports from every site. Production data also flows automatically into JBS’s financial system.

“With Cloudfarms, our team can efficiently record, process, and leverage data across our 240,000 sows in the US, enabling us to ‘win the day’.”
PJ Corns · Technical Director
BMG Agrícola
Brazil

Every day’s data, no extra Excel

BMG Agrícola in Entre Rios do Oeste, Paraná, used to need separate Excel entries for some reports. Now the team enters its data in Cloudfarms every day and gets those reports from it, saving time and resources. Housing time is calculated precisely, mortality included, and management builds the reports it needs instead of using ready-made templates.

Kibsdal Svineavl
Denmark

The right data on the right sow

Jens Krogsgaard Jørgensen runs Kibsdal Svineavl, a DanBred breeding farm with 2,000 sows. Registrations are made quickly in the units, and the QR code function in the app makes it easy to put the data on the right sow. Because the data is live, every employee works from the same numbers all the time.

“The Cloudfarms support team is always ready to help us when and if we need them.”
Jens Krogsgaard Jørgensen · Owner
Bovbjerg Genetics
Denmark

Ready for every organic inspection

Henrik Bovbjerg co-owns Bovbjerg Genetics and Bovbjerg Ecology: 1,000 sows and the largest organic multiplier in Denmark. Nothing is written on paper first any more, and he sees every registration seconds after it is made. He knows how many gilts he has for sale in each week and how many are already agreed. Medicine goes in too, so no note gets lost.

“This gives a great deal of security during checks, of which we have many in particular for the organic part.”
Henrik Bovbjerg · Co-owner
The office at Canmark Family Farms
Canmark Family Farms
Canada

15 hours a week back

Canmark runs 5,800 sows in Manitoba and is rarely fully staffed. Breeding and farrowing data used to go on pocket paper, to be deciphered and entered later. Now the team enters it in the barn, and owner Henrik Thomsen sees it on the TV in his office, night shift included. Barn and office save 15 hours a week together, and new hires enter data within two to three days.

“A piece of paper and a pen are not fun anymore.”
Henrik Thomsen · Owner

South Africa

From carcass back to dam and sire

CP and Gerda Kriek run Taaibosch near Fochville: 2,300 commercial sows, a 300-sow nucleus herd, an AI station and a feed mill. Less data goes into a book first and the computer second, though older staff had to accept the data would not disappear. Every animal is traced individually, each carcass links back to dam and sire, and managers spend more time in the barn than the air-conditioned office.

“Investing in the Cloudfarms technology did reduce my frustration levels.”

Piglets, with the title: Individual tracking of animals – Pig Passport
SUISAG
Switzerland

A digital passport for every pig

SUISAG serves Swiss pig producers and international genetics customers. With Cloudfarms it launched the Pig Passport: data on each individual pig, such as pedigree, feed consumption and health, from birth to processing. The Cloudfarms app is built into SUISAG’s SuisDataManager, already widely used by Swiss producers, and SUISAG offers it to producers in Switzerland and Germany.

Piglets at Goodvalley
Goodvalley
Poland and Ukraine

Every pack traceable to the barn

Goodvalley produces pork in Poland and Ukraine to Danish production standards and is certified carbon-neutral. From its processing plant, every pig can be traced back to its finisher, weaner and sow farm, and to the feed it ate, thanks in part to Cloudfarms’ production management system and Traceability Platform. A QR code on every pack shares that with customers.

“Since early 2021 customers can scan all Goodvalley products and see the process from the first grain for feed to the last slice of ham.”
Holger Axelgaard · CIO
